Fixed Blade Knives - Cutting Tools

The fixed blade knives are in the heaviest category of outdoor knives and here at Prepare For Adventure, we stock an extensive range of them. Fixed blade knives, or survival knives, are made to be sturdy and reliable, making them ideal for emergency situations and extreme circumstances.

The tough design of fixed blade knives makes them suitable for building huts, chopping wood and making traps, as well as other activities, including:

  • Hunting
  • Bushcraft
  • Survival and wilderness
  • Cutting
  • Splitting
  • First aid
  • Food preparation

Survival knives are used in almost any environment and are supplied in various sizes, ranging from small, handy knives, to large, stronger knives.

Unlike folding knives, the fixed survival knives don’t have moving parts, meaning they are less prone to breakage. What’s more, the blade is usually twice as long as folding knives and doesn’t have hinges, making it easier to maintain and clean.
